Reading and a Lack of Readers?

Hello there fellow Bloggers,
As you will know if you read my other post I am new to the whole blogging thing.
And I’ve only started Blogging since I quit playing Video games (saying Quit video games makes me sound childish). So since I Quit I needed another hobby that I can just do at any time when I’m Bored. So as the title suggests this is reading.
Now when I was younger I read all the Harry Potter Series, yes Harry Potter. And I got really into reading them, so into reading them that when the Half Blood Prince book came out I Bought it on the day I went on Holiday with my Nan. And all through my time on Holiday I spent 70% of the time Reading this book and I finished reading it in Little over 4 days.
After this I read the final one when it was released of course, But once I finished that one I stopped reading as I thought that I wouldn’t like reading any other books because they where nothing like Harry Potter and couldn’t be of any interest what so ever.
How mistaken I was, on Monday I bought myself a book that looked promising called “The Demon King” by Cinda Williams Chima. Now reading this book im like oh my gosh! This book is AWESOME! and I’ve gotten stuck into it ( the book is a young adults high fantasy book, also the first book of four but there is only two released as of yet).
Which Brings me to the last thing I would like to say that is on my mind. Out of everyone that I know in person that I have added on Social networking websites and just in person alike don’t read books and all play games which annoys me because I have no one that I know that I can relate to and talk about books and such, this being because a lot of people my age (19) think that it is strange and that if you read books you are weird. Which annoys the hell out of me, because they don’t know how awesome and entertaining a real good book can be!
